A new puzzle, every day

Everyone gets the same 16 words each day. It resets at local midnight, so come back daily to keep the streak alive.

Compound words and portmanteaus

Each blend joins two words into a new one, two ways: stacked whole to form a compound word (Coffee + Pot = Coffeepot), or fused together into a portmanteau (Frappé + Cappuccino = Frappuccino). Every puzzle can mix both kinds.

Select two words, in order

Choose two words that combine to make a new word — order matters, so tap the word that comes first in the blend first. For Tabletop, tap Table before Top; tapping Top before Table counts as a mistake even though it's the right pair. Every puzzle contains exactly 8 correct blends, and every word is used exactly once.

Watch for mistakes

An incorrect pair — or the right pair in the wrong order — counts as a mistake. After 3 mistakes, the puzzle ends and the remaining blends are revealed. Retrying the exact same two words you already got wrong won't cost you another mistake.
