Morning Blend Games started as a simple idea: a puzzle small enough to fit alongside your morning coffee, done in a few minutes before the day gets going. Like a lot of daily word games, everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day — no randomization, no do-overs, just one shot to compare notes with whoever else played that morning.
Where we differ from a single daily crossword is variety. Each of the four games tests a different kind of word sense — spelling and vocabulary in Spellbound, compound-word intuition in Blends, quick recall under a timer in Bounty, and spatial reasoning about word relationships in Crossover. Play one game or all four; each keeps its own streak, stats, and achievements.
No account is required to play any of them. Your streaks and history live in your browser and stay there — see our Privacy Policy for the details.
A daily spelling bee. You hear the word read aloud, dig up clues if you're stuck — definition, part of speech, origin, or a sample sentence — and try to spell it correctly. Get it wrong once and your correct letters lock in place for a second try, so a slip doesn't end your streak outright.
A daily word-blending puzzle. Sixteen words are laid out on the board, and the goal is pairing them into eight compound words — some stacked whole, some cleverly blended together. Three mistakes ends the round.
A fast, thirty-second synonym hunt. A hint word appears and an ever-changing word cloud scrolls past; you tap out as many synonyms as you can find before time runs out, or before three mistakes end your round early.
A tile-placement word puzzle. You place, rotate, and connect tiles so that every touching pair shares the right relationship — synonym, antonym, compound, or portmanteau — until the board is filled and every junction checks out.
